Congratulations to all participants who finished the 2012 tour. We hope you had a fantastic tour, beat your personal bests, achieved your goals, met some new friends and got to see a little more of our town. Today's racing was hotly contested, all winners are to be congratulated for their achievements.

Full Stage 3 & 4 and GC Results are now up on the club website in the results section. New photos have been added as well - go to our photo link to see if you're there.  If you were a spectator and have one or two good photos you want to share feel free to get in contact with us. We can't guarantee that all photos will be added, but it is worthwhile for a few extra pictures.

Thank you again to our major sponsors, Harcourts KDRE of Morrinsville, Ultimo Clothing (Wellington) and AgriseaMorrinsville New World Power Farming,  Hamilton Cycling Club for their timing system and their team who helped us keep up to date with results, Commissaires. Thank you to all helpers, including those from Morrinsville Rotary who were turn-marhshalls. Your help, and that of club members and others who offered assistance is much appreciated. If we have left you out it is not intentional, you will understand it is a huge undertaking to run this event, and everyone's efforts are appreciated.

This was the 23rd tour held consecutively, and it is anticipated that the 24th will take place in February next year, and that you will all return and bring some friends.

Before then, Morrinsville Wheelers also hosts a number of events you may be interested in participating in (from club level races to open events).  Click on the "Events" section to find out what we're up to next.

Advert: On the 10th of March the club hosts the "Bill & Hazel Summers Memorial Open" This is a great open event with open riders participating in an 80km race, there are of course riders for U17,U15 and U13 riders... check out the details and get your entry in to race management.

Congratulations to local riders:

Therese Williams - winner of U13, and Phoebe Hannah 2nd Place in U13.

Natasha Collins and Julia Williams also completed the U15 grade in style.

Sophie Pulford won the U17 competition, she was in awesome form all weekend,  Jordyn Crouch made the top 10.

Sarah Morrison was 2nd in the time trial stage and was 12th overall in the A Grade. She deservedly won the Most aggressive rider for the Open riders of the tour, and got to take home one of the Ultimo jerseys.
