 The
popular Kaimai Cycles Twilight Series is held every Tuesday night during
daylight savings at 6.30 sharp. There is a mixture of handicap and graded mass
start racing on a variety of circuits - we believe that mixing it up makes it a
bit more interesting for our riders.
Each week riders earn points according to their
finishing placing as well as one point each for starting and finishing. Points
are accumulated over the season.

Race Protocols
Due to the popularity of
the Kaimai Cycles Points Series on Tuesday nights we need to
implement some rules to ensure everyone’s safety and
efficient running of the club night. It is not an easy task
to run a bike race for 50 enthusiastic people (ranging from
7 years to over 70).
We can all do our part to make
jobs easier for Race Officials.
New members & volunteers are
welcome!

Races start at 6.30pm
sharp!

Register your entry before
6.15pm to help handicapper.

No parking on any
drive-ways (especially at finish line on Bolten Road) We
do not want to annoy locals!

No standing on the middle
of the road before or after racing. Please stay on the
grass or go warm up!

No talking to the
handicapper, judge or time keeper while they are doing
their jobs. They are trying to get results out quickly
and correctly. If you keep interrupting them you are
slowing everyone down.

Ensure your bike is in TOP
order, get it serviced regularly, check your cleats
often (remember who sponsors the Tuesday night racing
Kaimai Cycles)

While riding keep left as
possible road rules still apply even if you have a
number on your back. Cars often judge ALL cyclists on
the one cyclist they see doing something wrong.

Please heed the advice of
more experienced riders. They are trying to help you.

Fees: Fees payable before
you get your number, no rain checks.

Club members – FREE

Non club members $2.00
per night (max of 3 nights only).

To join the club
summer series is $20.00 to cover your public
liability

To join the club for
the whole year is $55.00 (for full Morrinsville
Wheelers Program).

Members of other clubs
$5.00 to ride

for any money changing hands on Tuesday nights. This
means that Bev can concentrate on other jobs!

Please do not interrupt
judges for your times. They will be put onto the club
website.
These rules are not to put a
kybosh on your fun. They are there for your safety and the
smooth running of Tuesday night racing. Your efforts will
be appreciated by all.
