10/21/2008: "Kaimai Cycles Twilight Race 3"

Weather conditions fine & breezy but okay. 66 riders came out tonight for two races: U13 raced out & back from Bolten Road to Bell Road & return 10km in total, and everyone else did 20km from Bolten Rd, Taharoa Rd, Starkey Rd, Bell Rd and finished at Balance. Thank you to race organisers & helpers out there doing jobs to help keep the racing safe for everyone!

Thank you to Kaimai Cycles for your event sponsorship & the spot prizes at the end of tonight’s racing. Winners of spot prizes this week were Shane Robinson & Mary van Huysen!

If we have left anyone off please inform us, likewise if we have spelling mistakes!

U13

This was the largest U13 race for the season with 11 riders. Welcome to all our new riders in this grade. It can be very competitive and enjoyable with more getting involved. The key is to give it your best every time you race and you will see as the weeks go by that you will make improvements (your times might go down or it just becomes a little easier to go the same distance)… Don’t forget, regular attendance means more points!
