10/14/2008: "Kaimai Cycles Race 2 - Hangawera Road"

A north-easterly breeze blew for the 58 riders who came to tonights twilight race.

U13 raced 12km out & back along Hangawera Road. The rest went one time around the Hangawera road circuit. Whilst results will be mixed the competitions will be separated as per other years: U13, U15, U17, Open.

Tonights race was a bit of a lolly scramble as Bev (club handicapper) didn't know where to put everyone for the first big race of the season. Basically bunches were separated by three minutes. Next time she will have a better idea on where to put people to make the handicap or graded starts competitive.
