10/02/2008: "Tour of Manawatu"

Congratulations to Louis Wright for placing 3rd in the Tour of Manawatu. This is an extremely tough event for U17 riders.

Louis raced over four events in a 60+ strong field. In stages one & two Louis comfortably competed and then burned up through the field in the time trial (1km flat and 2km steep hill climb) - Louis was 3rd in this stage and was able to get himself into 3rd spot. In the 4th stage (50km road race) Louis finished comfortably in the bunch and maintained his 3rd position overall.
