05/24/2008: "Aussie Hadley (U17 & Open) & Val Allen Cup Trophy Day (U15 & U13)"

Riders competed for two of the clubs traditional trophy days. Open riders and U17 riders did one full circuit of Hutchinson Rd circuit plus one circuit of Kiwitahi, Station, and Railway Roads to make a tough 45km race. U15 & U13 raced one circuit of Kiwitahi, Station, and Railway Roads with a total of 16km.

Competition was tough for all riders with strong Southerly winds.

New club rider Samuel Marnethrust (U17) put in a great effort against other newbies, Gavin Wolfe (U17)and Paul Burrows to win the event. Mary van Huysen has found some form and put in an excellent effort again today. Mark May was on fire in his bunch with Bob Puru another strong-man!! Henry van Mill & Stephe Crowther lapped it out with 2nd Break when caught, they did really well.
