Secondary School Triathlon Championships
April 2008
Morrinsville College entered a team of three to do the NZ & WBOP Triathlon Champs. The team including Morrinsville Wheelers member Charlie Murrell finished 7th overall and were 3rd WBOP Team.
Club member Jacob Lim from Morrinsville College was 32nd in the U19 men’s Secondary Schools Triathlon.
Half Ironman
Jacob also competed in a ½ ironman in Auckland (2km swim, 90km cycle, 21km run). Jacob was 66th out of 121 entrants in a time of 5hr 45mins. This was a fantastic effort by Jacob who competed in the Senior Men’s category of this event.
